I've been wanting to do a video about Sibel's case for quite sometime...after the recent Times of London story was published, I knew it was time to get busy. Thanks to lukery as well who's worked tirelessly to get Sibel's story out there.

I wanted to put the entire gallery of rogues in there but it seems the longer the videos are, the less people willing to spend the time to watch it. I wanted to tie in our past behavior with what's happening today and that took up a lot of time but felt it was important to show how things haven't changed. Keep up the good fight. I'm a great fan of you and Sibel and hope one day to see that formal public hearing. I may even drive to D.C. to see it. :D

you are right - some of this stuff never changes (BBCI, Iran-COntra and others), and every successive administration seems to want to forgive and forget, and that's how we end up where we are today.

This is powerful stuff!

It's a great job and it's so important to keep this subject moving.
We've watched our National Security being bought and sold to the highest bidder. Our country is in big need of a purging. The gagging has to stop, we the people do have the right to know the truth.
Our country is in so much trouble...it's very sad.

10. No incoming links registering?

I don't get it- how long does it take for an incoming link to get picked up by YouTube? There are tons of incoming on this video. I should know, I've made a few of them myself. Either there's a significant lag time involved, people aren't visiting the video through the links or else (gasp!) could it be suppression?

Usually it takes several hours, sometimes even an entire 24 hour period for links to show up. YouTube is a great website but technically they suck. :D I don't think a lot of DU'ers understand how You Tube works. If you just watch it here, your visit isn't registered at You Tube and it gets no credit for the viewing. You have to click the You Tube link in order for it to register. The more views & high ratings a video receives AT You Tube, the better chance the video gets of getting on the front page of whatever category you label the video under. This video is labeled as a News & Politics video so it stands a chance of appearing on that category's front page if more people viewed it AT You Tube and rated it. I've often thought of posting a thread on DU explaining these idiosyncrasies.

That's why I view it both ways.

If a video is viewed just here, it could make the top 100 in the obscure "most linked" category. A video has a much greater chance of being seen if it hits the "top favorites" and "most seen" categories. I'm still learning the ropes there and they've recently added even more new features. It's like paddling upstream to keep on top of it. :D

Thanks for the explanation. I guess I sort of figured out the viewing offsite part of it. It's a shame, really, because back when Google used to keep such statistics on their videos (up until a few months back) views by embed and by email were included in the statistical totals. I'm still hoping we can get a viraql Sibel Edmonds video eventually, but I can see that it's going to take some work if embeds don't help the cause.
