From the Edwards Campaign:

We did find one Yes or No question Senator Clinton has answered: Will you continue to take money from lobbyists?

This clip comes from a presidential candidates forum at the YearlyKos Convention in August 2007. Watch the original double-talk video, "The Politics of Parsing" here: http://johnedwards.com/watch/politics-of-parsing/

4. She has a point. Because of the corruption of the process

All of the more saintly causes like those the Environmental Defense Fund and the Sierra club have to be made by large bodies such as the Environmental Defense Fund and Sierra Club.

But if Senator Clinton and others with her power got campaign reform passed, we could know that even without the voices of those environmental groups the needs of the people were met (Since it is the lobbyists for big industry that opush environmental issues aside.)

10. She is taking from corporate lobbyists.
Edwards was endorsed by Friends of the Earth. There is no problem with the money Hillary takes from real people, their unions, etc. The problem is with the money she takes from the pharmaceuticals, and those types of "donors."

13. You are right. it's just so many people support her
And I keep trying to think like they do so that I can figure out where it is that I avoid seeing Hillary's charms.

I see plenty of appeal in Dennis though.

5. I am very concerned
about Senator Clinton's deep ties to lobbyists and large corporate interests. I have a friend who says, "Hillary knows how to play the game." The problem is, I don't want another president who plays the Washington Insider game. I believe there is more greed at the top of big corporations now than ever before. Money used to trickle down to the working people, but it no longer does.

I fear that Hillary will owe too many favors once she is in office. I much prefer the Edwards approach. He answers only to the American people. To me, this means that he will have the freedom to do whatever he needs to do as president to clean up the Washington system.

It is time to elect a president who will make working for the American people his first priority. One who will work with big business, but never FOR big business. That president is John Edwards.

6. I am concerned as well -
She has hemmed and hawed over this issue so much you know that if she is elected, nothing will change. Edwards is the voice of the people, and his campaign is all about that.

7. I will never vote for her...
She is no different than the ones in place. She'll continue doing the work of the 1% wealthiest people in our country.

8. This is so funny!
The Edwards campaign has an awesome sense of humor. I'm so glad they're using it. YES! We can find one question she gives a straight answer to. She's quite eager to defend our broken system in Washington. Well, it would be funnier if it weren't so sad.

11. That sense of humor is the Edwards' campaign's secret weapon.
Had Kerry had more of a sense of humor, he could have ridiculed the Swiftboaters into oblivion. Edwards can laugh at himself. That is a wonderful quality in a president. Oddly enough, Bill Clinton had that quality, but Hillary is short on it. She tries, but it isn't a natural part of her, and her self-critical humor backfires on her.

12. Any chance we could have someone speaking up for the rest of us
real people? I think John Edwards will be the one who will do that.
