Rebecca Kleefisch is a former television news anchor, turned right-wing politician, and is currently
serving as Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin. She was elected to the position on November 2, 2010,
as the running mate of Republican Governor Scott Walker.

Today, now that more than 100,000 signatures have already been collected to recall her Governor boss,
Governor Scott Walker has sent in his Lt. Gov. to try and convince people NOT to exercise their rights
to sign the recall.

She would rather you simply look the other way and forget the high crimes committed against human decency
by the republicans.

1. Sorry darling it is all over but the shouting for you & Scott
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x5065708

In 1 week they have gathered more than 20% of the total # number needed to recall you and Scott.

Rebecca you remind me of my own governor John Kasich who offered to "negotiate" w/ the anti SB 5 folks last summer
after the repeal movement had gotten up and running if only we agreed to stop w/ the special election that
would kill SB 5.

BTW did ALEC or the Koch brothers give you that script to read?

54. I had a nice prim, proper looking woman sign against Walker and asked if she was "a whore"
when I asked her to sign Kleefisch's petition. A bit taken aback I explained who she was and her, um, pedigree that got her into office including having been a news anchor. The woman signed it and handed it back to me saying "You're right, she's a whore". Ummm...okay. Kind of surprised, but the lady seemed pretty sure of her convictions.

7. Priceless
Police costs for Wisconsin protest: $7.8 million
Repair of damage to the Capitol building and grounds: $270,000
Recall of Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch: $650,000 according to the Walker State Journal or 7.7 million dollars according to Rebecca Kleefisch.
Restoration of democracy, restoration of worker's rights, restoration of protections and services for the poor and elderly, and preservation of Wisconsin's environment: Priceless.

republi-CONS sure get off on the whole fear thing, don't they? They use it ruthlessly. And then they collapse like bad infrastructure when they suddenly find themselves with serious reasons to become fearful.

Hey, it's nice to see something that makes THEM shake in THEIR boots. To paraphrase somebody from the last gawd-awful regime here whose name I can't remember (might have been said about cheney and his imperious ilk) - "let them hate (us), as long as they FEAR!"

however, what was she selling in that ad? There are seriously porn stars who wear less makeup than that.. And the lipstick is way to dark for a daytime ad. Normally, they try to make these females look a bit softer in the eyes and use a lip gloss or paler lip color for the politicians.... I don't understand this look. She looks more like she belongs to one of the Wives of... tv shows.

22. Oh, so the smart thing to do in your book...
is to allow your fascist co-conspirators to continue undoing the progress made for the middle class of your state through decades because it will cost money to have the governor recalled? In my book, that is called an unintended consequence. Even if you'd have thought of that you would not want to disappoint your financier billionaires. What they say is what you do, right?

By the way, a question. If Walker is thrown out, does this babe keep her job?

I am really sorry I don't get to sign for a Walker recall.

Remember YOUR party pulled that shit during the summer recalls so shut the fuck up about 'how much was spent'.

45. Wisconsin Dems have filed a complaint against Kleefisch
because of this misleading "ad":

November 16, 2011

WisDems File Complaint Against Rebecca Kleefisch for Deliberately Misleading Ad

MADISON-The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today filed a complaint against Rebecca Kleefisch for producing a campaign Web ad that deliberately creates the impression it is being released by the office of lieutenant governor.

Wisconsin law prohibits the use of government resources for partisan political gain and also requires that campaign communications make clear they are paid for by a candidate's committee. The Kleefisch ad in question has no such identification.

The Kleefisch ad follows a taxpayer-funded propaganda website that apes talking points repeated on campaign communications from corporate front groups such as Americans For Prosperity and the MacIver Institute.

61. Funny - cost wasn't a factor when Gray Davis was recalled.
The Democratic governor of California, Gray Davis, was re-elected in 2002 and recalled in 2003. And there was no real crime or scandal involved. At least, no more that the usual background stuff with life-long politicians.

But, conservatives didn't stress the added cost to taxpayers of a recall election in those days.

I guess you only bring stuff up like that when it's to your benefit.

Did we hear ONE WORD from the Republican Party between 2001 and 2009, when George W. Bush was busy creating the deficit they're now all up in arms about?

Or when Reagan was spending money like a carrier battle group full of drunken sailors on shore leave?

No! We did not! We only hear screaming when Democrats want to spend money!
