I have a new favorite show: The Alyona Show, hosted by Alyona Minkovski.

She brings truth to politics in a way that I find very refreshing. Her show is not all serious and preachy (sorry Olbermann), it pokes fun at itself while it informs. This is information we need from a fresh perspective -- **NOT** tied to the corporate-owned media.

Love it.

Many cities are getting RT (and The Alyona Show) on cable -- demand it from your cable company. Meanwhile, the Youtube channel is:

3. You have to wonder how many different ways he can find to say this as if he thinks he's

"You know, Ed, if I thought you weren't my friend, I just don't think I could bear it...."

10. Never underestimate the power of marketing in a political campaign
My prediction?

Unless the Republicans unleash a TITAN...and by that I don't mean Palin, Bachmann, Perry, Romney, Pawlenty, Santorum, Gingrich...Obama will get a second term, and the progressive "base" will spend four more years wishing he could be more "progressive."

As of today, the Republicans don't have a strong candidate with "cross-over appeal," and I don't imagine there will be a challenge to his candidacy from within the Democratic party.

Either the Republicans are going to have to shock us and produce a candidate worthy of winning, or Obama would have to walk away and say "I don't want a second term." Other than that, I see him in the Oval Office for four more years.

13. While we're quoting Val Kilmer from the movie Tombstone
What other line did he say to Ringo, the gun fighter who thought he could take Doc Holiday down (and, suffering from consumption, Doc seemed to wish for)?

"You're no Huckleberry. You're no Huckleberry at all."

In the vernacular of the time, a Huckleberry is a man big enough for the job.

Well, Mr. President, You're No Huckleberry.

7. K&R
"The most important moral and intellectual voices within a disintegrating society are slowly discredited when their nonviolent protests and calls for justice cannot alter intransigent and corrupt systems of power. The repeated acts of peaceful civil disobedience, efforts at electoral and political reform and the fight to protect the rule of law are dismissed as useless by an embittered, dispossessed and betrayed public. The demagogues and hatemongers, the purveyors of violence, easily seduce enraged and bewildered masses in the final stages of collapse with false promises of vengeance, new glory and moral renewal. And in the spiral downward the good among us are reviled as naive and ineffectual fools." ~Chris Hedges

15. I think I saw that, she kicked a$$ in that interview I thought
She did great but the interviewer kept trying to question her journalistic integrity, whether she is getting her text from the company leaders. Her show sure as heck aint no Faux News, and she shut him down every time.

She tells it like it is and doesn't spare any of the real truth, unlike the "truth" that the American Corporate-owned main stream media want us to know.

I'm adding the Alyona Show to my list of regular news sources and I hope a lot of others do too!
