I think he is starting something entirely new -- like nothing else.

A real person who is very intelligent and compassionate talking about the news. Where else can you find that combination?

The newscasters on other commercial TV programs are sometimes (if rarely) intelligent, but if they are compassionate, very few of them show it. Anderson Cooper sometimes does. Some of the newscasters on MSNBC like Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O-Donnell and Cenk do, but beyond that, other than, occasionally Elliot Spitzer maybe, not very often.

And here is Keith, pretty much 100% free to be his intelligent, compassionate self all the time.
