1. What's this freak's background? Some Bible-banging college?
She grates on my nerves even more than that guy, Ann Coulter.

3. If the EPA was gone, who would they blame for corporations moving jobs to China?
Edited on Fri Jun-17-11 11:54 AM by Democrats_win
Living in a mining state, CO, we often hear them blame the EPA and environmentalists for job losses. The truth is, that mining is a boom and bust industry. So when the corporation shuts down a mine, they would rather blame the EPA and environmentalists than take the blame themselves. Scapegoats. Without the EPA, we would still be jobless AND, worse, sick from pollution.

In fact, the entire city of Golden, Colorado once had to ship in water because an old mine spill turned the water orange. It cost more to deal with the pollution once it creates problems than it ever cost to do it right in the first place.

12. See, you should have just drunk the orange water and quit whining.
You should also be happy to work for $.35 an hour like they do in China. Then you'd see the jobs start coming back! Hell, they might even go up to $.50 an hour since they'd be saving all that money on shipping...

4. Of course, the EPA regulations actually CREATE jobs, but
Michele wouldn't want to talk about that!

6. Lets get back to the good ol'days of the Cayahoga on fire
So that we can have JOBS! Even Dick Nixon realized that the externalizing of waste by private industry had gone too far.

8. I would think the fame from a burning river
wouldn't be sought by other cities. But, I think I'm envisioning the potential for a new reality tv show.

9. You would think, but they named a beer after it here in Cleveland
I have trouble drinking with the thought of the whole thing, but some here embrace the memories.
