3. I'm an agnostic. I believe life was created.

I don't know if some so called 'God' exists, but SOMETHING made life. It did NOT just happen.

In the case of intelligent design vs. evolution, More than 150 different types of amino acids are found in cells, but only 20 of these are commonly used to make proteins. These are linked together in different orders to form different proteins. Most have about 200-300 amino acids, but some are much smaller and some much larger. The level of complexity involved in creating just a protein, regardless of the fact that it takes about 7,000 different types of protein in the eukaryotic cell, the total number depending on the cell class and function, points to the impossibility of it just 'happening'.

The idea that this level of complexity just 'happened' in some primordial 'soup' is not just far fetched, it is, basically, impossible.

Hell, look at the most simple single celled organism known today, bacteria. Viruses are simpler, but viruses can not replicate outside an existing living cell, so these could not have arisen without more complex living cells for them to replicate in. Protozoa, according to the some versions of the theory of evolution, are thought to be the origin of all other species on Earth, but these are more complex than bacteria.

The information content of a bacteria has been estimated to be around 10,000,000,000,000 bits of information comparable to a hundred million pages of Encyclopaedia Britannica.

Looking at it this way, the idea of life just 'happening' is laughable, at best.

I object to both theists, and atheists, equally, on the basis that proof has not been provided by either side, backed by science.

And to the atheists, absence of proof is not proof. By making the claim that 'God' does not exist, you must provide evidence, instead of claiming that the burden of proof belongs to those who claim he exists. To do otherwise is a weak, flawed argument that lacks merit, and is, in fact, a cop out because you do not have any facts to back up your claim.

I do not believe in God, but I do not believe it is right to claim that he could not possibly exist.

4. come on, it didn't "just happen"

LIFE clearly EVOLVED from simple chemicals that self-aggregated and developed catalytic activity that led to further complexity. What we see now as life is NOTHING like what it started from. It's foolish to look at a living cell and think it all just came together de novo.
