I grew up here and knew many law enforcement officers through my father (they served in Viet Nam together). They often visited and I heard about a lot of cash seizures, even back then.

The local drug enforcement section of the sheriffs office drive very expensive vehicles and have the newest "toys"(state of the art weapons, computers, communications,..etc..) which they readily flash around. It seems they earn(?) more money than the regular police officers. They sure dress, live and look like it....

To the victor go the spoils, America is supposed to be better than that....we aren't.

It was in Tennessee that they stopped a family and yelled at them to get out of the car and the family said if they left the doors open their dog, I think it was a golden retriever, would get on the road. The cops told them to get out anyway and when their dog followed them, the pigs shot her dead.

road where the money is, that means that they are basically profiting from the selling of drugs, so they don't want to stop the drug sales at all. They are just middlemen in the drug sales, not trying to prevent the sale of drugs at all--and with no incentive to want to prevent the drug sales. In fact, the boss even admits that if they don't bring in enough cash, they could lose their jobs, so why would they want to prevent drugs from being sold?
