4. Senate Bill 5 Columbus Ohio
Several of us estimated 5000 to 6000 in Columbus yesterday inside the State House and outside around the buildings and on the side walks. It was a peaceful demonstration all with concerns about their future. The ages were from 16 to 80 years of ages. There were firemen, teachers,O D O T,state workers, police, factory workers, nurses,EMT,almost every form of labor were there. After talking to many, their complaints can be understood. Many have paid for college degrees, work hard, and want to live the american dream. There are some undesirable employees in business from top to bottom. We have many in Congress that we cannot get rid of. Most working class americans are educated and cannot be fooled any more. If our government leaders can give each other raises anytime with out the wishes of their employers, the tax payers will notice. When our politicians blatantly give raises to each other, have a superb health care plan for their families but want to deny the taxpayers a health insurance. They are not fooling anyone. Dick Cheney recently made the statement that he may decide to not go through another heart transplant. How many working folks can have that option? I know there are many that will differ in opinion about my post. All I can say to that is be reasonable and be civil.
