1. OutFoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War On Journalism

"Outfoxed" examines how media empires, led by Rupert Murdoch's Fox News, have been running a "race to the bottom" in television news. This film provides an in-depth look at Fox News and the dangers of ever-enlarging corporations taking control of the public's right to know.

The film explores Murdoch's burgeoning kingdom and the impact on society when a broad swath of media is controlled by one person.

Media experts, including Jeff Cohen (FAIR) Bob McChesney (Free Press), Chellie Pingree (Common Cause), Jeff Chester (Center for Digital Democracy) and David Brock (Media Matters) provide context and guidance for the story of Fox News and its effect on society.

This documentary also reveals the secrets of Former Fox news producers, reporters, bookers and writers who expose what it's like to work for Fox News. These former Fox employees talk about how they were forced to push a "right-wing" point of view or risk their jobs. Some have even chosen to remain anonymous in order to protect their current livelihoods. As one employee said "There's no sense of integrity as far as having a line that can't be crossed."

2. the crux of the dilemma and nothing's going to change without media objectivity
Greenwald is a hero and should have libraries and stadiums named after him. But the echo chamber is already in place so we can agree and be smart all we want- our one congressman or senator is not going to change this rich people's monster of the ID. Does anyone see how we can overrule this (media and corporate) monster when we can't even get close to these swine. They ARE the Untouchables of today.
Thanks for the post.

3. shultz and greenwald miss the real problem- it's not fox- it's TALK RADIO!!!
they are chasing a red herring. and for not even mentioning talk radio they are very disappointing, even foolish. but then few on the Left get it.

fox is nothing without the widespread coordinated unchallenged repetition only possible from the talk radio monopoly. their yappers ride the talk radio bandwagon. the talk radio GOP dittohead teabagger base go to fox to put visual icing on the talk radio lie turd pie.

limbaugh has 10x the weekly audience as beck for 3x as long! it starts as radio and the longer the Left and analysts and media continue to blame the symptom, fox, the longer the Left will keep getting taken to the cleaners by the real cause- radio. that is why we're in this mess - the talk radio monopoly, not fox. fox could not change the democratic party into the democrat party. fox could not elevate a business failure and AWOL dry drunk to commander in chief. it wasn't fox that stopped single payer and public option.

even radio man schultz misses it. randi rhodes gets it because she listens once in a while but many prog radio talkers also miss it. the reason they miss it, along with most analysts and commenters and strategists, is because there is no real record of what the 1000 radio stations that dominate our media are saying hour after hour and day after day. greenwald makes a good point but fox TV cannot create like radio can. fox still has to pretend to be balanced. radio reaches 50MIL a week with coordinated UNCHALLENGED repetition straight from the think tanks that feed team limbaugh every day.

and we might as well kiss democracy goodbye until the left pulls their fingers out of their ears and start asking local RW radio sponsors WTF and the stations have to reduce their staff and the only sponsors left are racist fools. and why are so many of our universities giving the lies and racism and climate change denial credibility by broadcasting their sports on those limbaugh hannity stations? why aren't their faculty and students and communities complaining?

all they had to do was add that it's talk radio that does the ground work. very disappointing.
