(oh, and the reference about "get on me bike" was about a particularly insensitive comment made during the height of Thatcherism by Norman Tebbit, a Tory cabinet minister who said that his working-class father didn't picket in the Thirties, he just "got on his bike and looked for a job" somewhere else-a comment which left out the fact that there weren't any jobs anywhere else, in the Thirties OR the Eighties).

This is aimed at both the Republicans who oppose extending unemployment benefits AND at those "Democrats" who say things like "I feel your pain" when they're planning to back right-wing policies that will increase said pain(like "free trade").
