4. That's all fine and dandy but..
.. his stand on impeachment is standard
corporate politician.

And impeachment is the only way to end the war
and the corruption that is now America.

6. 15 yr war? now what was it Nostradamus said about the end ? ma-BUS 15 yr war
I'm not a fatalist, I believe in choice and freedom. I choose to believe we better get a handle on this nut pretty quick. He feeds on fear he wants the "end" to come to bring on the "new" world for "the chosen." And he's so delusional he actually believes if such a time did come, and under such circumstances as these HE WOULD ACTUALLY BE ONE OF THE CHOSEN!

13. Rep. Doggett speaking truth to power...
Did anyone happen to catch this in the New York Times? Note that one of the "experts" the Times cites in this op-ed is none other than Mr. Iraq himself Douglas Feith. Just goes to show that if he's an expert, ANYONE is...

14. Truth telling at its best.. Showing some fangs at last from being sick
and tired of being sick and tired of Bush lies and spin. Thousands dying needlessly just so he can push his mess off on the next administration.
Doggett's words rang like the freedom bell, loud and clear and at just the right moment to alert congress to the real truth being told here.
Good on you sir for standing up for America and Americans.

15. You expressed my feelings dead on...
I have read the NY Times today. I have listened to the talk about "honorable man" Petraeus and "dedicated man" Crocker. Yet, I find myself reading the paper and thinking...why do I read the paper? Why do I keep myself informed? It's all the same crap again. Give more time, things are "getting better," etc. (Don't we hear this same crap every 6 months or so...same play, different actors?) The debate seems to be reduced to differences of policy, of who's winning the policy debate, and the fact that implications of continuing this policy is more death, more destruction, more violence. I just don't understand people (any pro-war people) being so in love with war, especially the ones who call themselves Christian. I'm a gay, practicing Catholic (ok, the contradictions on that one for another time). Everyday, I wonder how is it that I share a faith with so many people, yet we don't just come to different conclusions about violence, exploitation, etc., we come to OPPOSITE conclusions. What seems to continually be forgotten is that this is not like just any policy debate, the implication is directly lives lost...and LOTS of lives lost, of displacement of Iraqi PEOPLE. We see the charts, we hear the statistics, but real-life implications of our actions on this really seem to be lost. My God, I beg for forgiveness of the Iraqi people, I beg for forgiveness of future generations who look back at this dire mistake. I'm sorry; I'm sorry; I'm sorry.
