Cenk Uygur (host of The Young Turks) on MSNBC Live speaks with Jane Hamsher of Firedoglake.com about the idea of offering Americans a check for $1,000 instead of giving more tax cuts to the rich.

1. That would be $1,000 this year and every year!
I don't think we should spend our tax money that way. So I guess that tax cuts for the wealthy is out.

2. Class warfare. I love it. It would show who's on whose side when it comes to tax breaks.
I've said for years that the tax savings for the rich which came into full force with Reagan have done little for the economy because the richest 1% already have the disposable income to buy whatever they want. Putting more money in their pockets would generate what? A bigger estate to pass down to their heirs, making them less in tune to what most people have to do to survive.

As long as we're talking deficit spending, put the money in the pockets of the people that will give you the biggest ripple effect.

3. I think that Hamsher is a
jerk. I do not like her so whatever she says is bogus as far as I am concerned. Don't pretend to be a democrat and spew out republican bull shit. Goes for cenk too.

4. Sounds like the so called "moderates" are the ones spewing republican bullshit
By claiming tax cuts for the wealthy is a job maker.
But I only follow reality, not some weird grudge against liberals
