Because he's only a "print journalist" and Bill is a "TV star." I think that talent has more to do with it... But I'd much rather listen to his lame jokes than that insufferable Amy Holmes. I can deal with him when he's part of the panel, but when she's on, I consider not watching... x(

10. Didn't watch last night - But seeing Republican asshole PJ O'Rourke who never shuts the fuck up and

O'Rourke is NEVER the least bit funny, but he thinks he just so cute & clever that it's sickening - O'Rourke laughs at his own jokes and interrupts others and just never shuts the fuck up .....O'Rourke thinks he's fooling everyone with his disguised (but easy to see through) republican bullshit....

Again, I didn't watch last night so I'm just going by past installments of Real Time - Maybe the asshole O'Rourke has changed but I really doubt it!

17. he was worse than ever - he literally ruins Bill's show every time he appears

it is like having Sam Donaldson on a high-spirited Sunday Morning News show - he'll start talking about how the telegraph is such a great piece of technology and what a kidder President Truman was at parties he attended. Totally off his mark.

And he really isn't funny at all. It is disappointing actually that Maher hasn't figured it out, or his loyalty clouds his judgment from what he should be doing, which is creating an entertaining show that accomplishes some political conversation - not encouraging someone with a weak bag of stupid one-liners that fall flat every time.
