I think that he hit the nail on the head. Elaborate on your thoughts, please.

2. Ughhh
I rarely see TYT videos that annoy me but attacking the logo is just stupid. We get it, Kaine was a jackass for playing it up as something big, but its a perfectly fine logo. Cenk also misses the entire point of the announcement which was not just to unveil the new logo but to show off the revamped website which is a genuinely good thing that will help the dems get organized. Cenk has been kind of annoying me lately, especially when he hosted Ratigan on Friday and played down Warrens appointment. I generally agree with everything he has to say, but he has been acting like such a cynic recently its getting on my nerves.

3. Sorry the change we got does matter, as not voting clearly means change back to the dark ages and..
Edited on Sun Sep-19-10 01:36 AM by DemocraticPilgrim
it matters we don't do that. There is a lot more work to do make progressivism a force to be reckoned with and it requires staying in the game, otherwise all the talk was cheap.

4. Cenk's right...this logo BLOWS!
I mean...anybody who went to school in this country knows that you never wanted a "D" on your paper.

12. It is lame beyond belief
Bid announcement - you get a D in a circle and the New Democrats store. Check out the shirts with a tiny D on them. How fitting. http://www.democrats.org/

7.  A couple of days ago I thought the health care and the financial bills were lame.
I also didn't like the fact the we have continued Bush's policies concerning illegal wiretapping, we gave up on real energy reform and we are keeping Guantanamo open.

But this new logo has inspired me and I see the error of my ways!

WTF! Why are they trying so hard to lose?

And yes, before someone accuses me of being a Freeper for not being sufficiently resistant to reality, I'm pushing hard for the Democrats to win. I just want them to be better. A lot better.

I may be mad at Obama and the Democratic readership, but that doesn't mean I want the pure evil and the monumental stupidity of today's teabaggers.

9. The main problem
The main problem is building tension about a big announcement and having it be about a change in logo.
- It copies the way the republicans do the same thing day after day and try to dress it up with a slogan change.
- It creates a series of news cycles about some lame thing that isn’t going to affect anyone’s life.
- It sets up a talking point about how many people are not happy with it (and there is ALWAYS someone)

This was not something to do just before the election.

I think what Jon Stewart came up with was 10 times better.

10. This answers the question they ask on the Daily show.
"The republicans have certifiably crazies as their nominees. Bitter infighting has broken out.
How can the Democrats blow it?”

I’m actually angry that they gave the republicans a laughing/talking point on a silver platter just before the election.

14. I received an e-mail
from the DNC. They offered me a bumper sticker with the new logo. I didn't accept. Cenk hit this on the head.
When I saw the "Change That Matters" addendum, it did open (not so) old wounds.
No, I will vote. But it will be with no illusions. I will be voting for the "lesser of two evils."
I read about the "wanna be martyr" in Tx. Of course the MSM reported that he is nut job. He probably is.
However, I really like the idea of flying the flag upside down.
It seems like a sensible way to protest.
IMO, whole states should do this until there is a government for the people.............

17. This logo is an EPIC FAIL! I thought this was the democratic party NOT THE DEMOCRAT PARTY!
As if the constant capitulation to the Rethugs wasn't enough. This is nothing but a big FU to progressives.
