got a link to
http://patriotupdate.com/stories/read/4658/Minnesota-Under-Attack-From-Sharia-Law
from a relative with video linked. Here is my "reply
all" response...

Are any of you REALLY listening to this broadcast? Listen
again. Was there any mention of the muslims demanding laws be
changed? NO. The announcer is using classic propaganda
techniques:"Target has agreed to go along with Sharia
law". NO THEY HAVE NOT! They reassigned the employees so
as not to have conflict between customers and employees. In
what way is that agreeing to Sharia? if they were to do that,
they would not sell pork. is that what is going on? NO!
This is nothing more than another example of the Riech wing of
the Republican party trying to gin up anger towards the
"other", in this case MUslims., perhaps to
legitimize the furor over the misleadingly named "ground
zero mosque".
It is astounding to me that supposed supporters of the
constitution and free markets are purveying this drivel. So
the cab drivers refuse service to non-sharia obeying people.
SO WHAT?!!! How many Sharia following flyers are using the
Minneapolis airport?!!! thOSE CAB DRIVERS WILL SOON BE OUT OF
BUSINESS, AS THE MARKETPLACE SURELY WON'T SUPPORT THAT POLICY.
sEE?! THE FREE MARKET WORKS! oops, caps lok..
When did America cease to be the land of the free and home
of the brave? These people are free to run their cab business
as they see fit. And consumers are free to not use their
services. I, as an American, am NOT AFRAID! As long as the
COnstitution is adhered to, we have, in the words of the Great
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, nothing to fear but fear itself!
Unfortunately, fear seems to sell, especially to
republicans, and Fox News is in business....

1. Ah the corporate media messed up! They left out an attack on Keith Ellison!
Surely they could have found a way to link America's only Muslim congressman from that state to their little Islamic paranoia fantasy!

2. Toronto has a Somalian community too.
I see somalians every day, use their cabs, buy goods and services. We have had khaat sellers here, too; refrigerators full of the stuff here and there, and it was dealt with according to Canadian law. Truthfully, the stuff is as serious as pot; it has been around a long time.

We do not have sharia law; it was determined by the province that there would be no Jewish, Christian, or Islamic tribunals. I think that was fair and just, although there was some noise from the Orthodox Jewish community at the time. (That, by the way, is another one of the reasons that I believe the state should handle marriage and divorce. It cuts down on the complications.).

I did listen to the entire rant, and had a WTF? moment very close to the beginning. This is not how to make peace with your neighbours.

3. But it is perfectly fine
For a Christian Bus driver to refuse to drive a bus carrying an ad for Lavender magazine.

The Muslims lost in court. The Christian bigot won.

4. What it is.......they want a controversy they can campaign on.
And they are targeting Muslims. They at first tried to start with illegal immigrants and even a lot of republicans opted out of that mess. Now they picked Muslims. I tell you this, there is a THINK TANK behind the republicans behavior and the republicans are taking instructions from them. Like Pelosi wanted, an investigation should be started. I already email my representative and urged he join Nancy how all all you others are you game.

5. Shades of RWANDA.
If you don't hear it, you're NOT LISTENING. This little foray into divide and conquer will not end well. Your media is out of control and so will be your homeland.

6. Fox news article?
Is that why the headline is a question mark? They report, then you're supposed to decide if Minnesota is Under Attack From Sharia Law. Apparently the author does not know. So why is he writing an article?

It's all so depressing.
