Senate Democrats settled on a scaled-back energy bill that is mostly a response to the Gulf Oil spill rather than energy reform, but are now looking for Republicans to support the package before the August recess.

1. I'm still a democrat;
However when a new jersey politico from any party says anything bad about someone else's pollution it gives me the chuckles.

2. Reid is a failure as leader.
He should have changed the filibuster rule or forced the GOP to actually stand up and filibuster much sooner. He should keep the Senate in session until a bill is passed. He can't even get his own caucus together to support Obama's legislation.

This failure will be remembered as climate disasters continue to worsen. Oil is not the top source of global warming pollution. Coal is. The US Senate is officially King Coal's bitch.

house needed to finish the job. We are simply going hurtle back at lightening fast speed if we keep kicking our own around, it will take a generation to establish a 3rd party people are a little bit unrealistic if they think we have that long. We fight on or we fizzle out, this is a make or break election as it can only accelerate the wrong way with despair. I will keep repeating as I don't get who we're punishing by throwing the towel in this early. That's why Hartmann says take over the party as it's only way out arithmetically. I'm not pushing anyone around if they want to stay at home that is teir democratic right, but I'm just giving a constant reminder of the consequence. It's just an opinion has no bearing anyones free choice.

4. Harry, needs to take the gloves off..........
You need to point, the finger of blame, Harry and the President, should have your back and use his BULLY PULPIT to help you. Us, Democrats have to assign blame for what Republicans did to this country and start defining exactly what you want to do to get us out this mess, and then FIGHT for it. And, don't be afraid to get dirty. Make those cowards, filibuster, everything.
