Splotchy really owned Maher on the whole, going to the Playboy Mansion vs. publically dressing up as a drag queen 5 different times.

4. OReily said it: There will be no accountability for bu$h
This fucker will get off without any accountability for what he has done to this nation and they GOP will continue the assault on Democracy just as they have for the last 60 years.

16. Remember that it is your guy Edwards who doesn't want to hold BushCo accountable.
Edwards doesn't support impeachment.

Of all the candidates, only Dennis Kucinich does.

20. Kucinich is also the only one who wants a complete withdrawal.
Like Edwards and all the others he wants to involve all the nations in the region in stabilizing and rebuilding Iraq but his main agenda is Peace not solely "protecting America's interests abroad" which was justification for invading Iraq and staying there. America's corporate interests are not necessarily in America's best interests.

Iraqis will come to their own agreements out of necessity and none of their interests include terrorists. If they decide to divide up their nation according to sect they will. We have been refereeing a civil war worrying if they will play fare without a referee. It's to their advantage to share in their nations wealth and build an Iraq for all Iraqis not to become a nation of fire eaters and snake handlers. Either way they will come to their own agreements out of necessity. We need to get out of the way and let them

God Bless Bill Maher for holding his own against idiots like this.

If there was some Bill Maher fund somewhere to protect political speech, I'd donate.

7. "Looking back instead of looking forward"
O'Reilly "admits" (rather does not contradict) that Iraq was NOT a terrorist safe haven before the war. O'Reilly therefore also implicitly agrees that the invasion of Iraq CREATED a potential safe haven for the war.
Since creating terrorist-friendly territories is the opposite of the purpose of the war on terror, it appears that Mr. Reilly agrees that the US is losing the war on terror.

I am sure his barely failanced audience will be thrilled to know.

10. Every time Maher countered O'Reilly's spin ...
... O'Reilly would just move on to some other subject. I wish Maher would have pressed O'Reilly on some of his mischaracterizations, but Maher was being the corporate stooge during that segment, pimping his own (corporate-funded) show.

8. I completely agree with everything he said
All the talk about the surge is wedge issue bullshit because they can't sustain levels past April 2008

It didn't work it never was going to work

Edwards is the guy and he is so down the middle that it scares the bejeesus out of the media and their elite masters.

9. Maher's such a chump, falling for the "gotta have Conservative guests" b-s.
Maher's show would be better-off skipping the Right Wing bobble-heads, and going with guests willing to have reasoned, rational, fact-based discussions.

12. Agree -- a mistake. And, actually, Bill Maher always has a lot of right-wing guests . . .
granted, the liberals are usually more interesting and have important things to say . . .
but usually Bill let's the right-wingers spill their guts endlessly and keeps the liberals at bay.

One reason I don't make a point of tuning in --

14. That hasn't been true for a long time.I think Bill acknowkedged that he just
doesn't appeal to the conservatives. You are mistaken. He usually has liberals who eat the Republicans for lunch!

The token wingnut serves a very good purpose on Real Time.

You don't see a lot of home runs unless you've got an awful pitcher out there serving up meatball pitches.
