This may be lost to obscurity, but here is a reminder of how the Tea Party phenomena got started. After staying quiet during the TARP under Hank Paulson and Bush, in the early days of the Obama administration, CNBC's Rick Santelli is absolutely outraged that the Obama administration would try to help individual "loser" homeowners.

Of course, Santelli backed away from this staged rant, but this did not stop Fox News from picking up the baton and running with Tea Party meme. Not surprisingly, little mention is made of how it was first started by a Wall Street reporter ripping on individual "loser" homeowners who are underwater.

1. Kill the unfortunate! Kill! Kill! Kill!

Any consumer who doesn't have enough money to buy stuff should be SHOT!

Now you get RID of underperforming consumers, and the producers will make more money.......

Buy products or you're dead meat........

2. Santelli was all part of the

big plan. It was a fine plan it has worked well for them. Too bad our side has nothing to counter these rants that received huge air time.
