Funny how Republicans wanted less regulations that could prevent the spill, but it's Democrats who want to keep it going...

2. All evidence indicates the oil leak is hurting Democrats and Obama, not helping.

Being nauseatingly middle of the road makes you look weak and ineffectual. Obama's failure to take aggressive action makes him look like big-words-no-action and it's killing the Democratic Party.

In the words of Harry Truman,

"If you run a Republican against a Republican, the Republican will win every time."

Only fanatics and the committed bother to vote in midterm elections and right now that's Republicans, not us. Passionless Obama seems oblivious to this. There are reportedly legions of people out there who think we never got the hope and change we voted for. We face disaster in the Fall with the GOP taking over just like they did under Clinton.
