1. If the reports from the men on the rig are true, this was no accident.

BP was warned that it needed to take certain measures on the rig and chose not to.

It knew that omitting certain steps could cause a serious problem. It knowingly took that risk. That's assuming the facts stated by the witness who spoke on 60 Minutes is accepted as the truth by a jury.
