Show your support for Conan O'Brien by proudly displaying the "I'm With CoCo" graphic (unless you want to watch 5 more years of Jay Leno's lame political humor.)

9. Loved Conan until his partner left
It was so much like Johnny Carson's old show and I'd missed that. Was sick and tired of Jay's one liner crap.

You know Jay Leno is bad when Bill Cosby shows up and he's got me with my ass on the floor after I laughed too hard. But when Jay speaks no laughing...

Don't watch much late night anymore. When I do it's almost always either Letterman or Ferguson. And Craig is now the closest now I can compare to Johnny.

2. meh
Not really a fan of Conan, though from reading his recent barbs in GD it seems that being pissed off about this affair has made him funnier :)

3. agree 100%
Conan is funny, Leno is not, period. He steals bits and caters his show to the status quo.

5. My vote is for Leno. Love his humor.
Prefer it over Conan more simplistic and slapstick humor.

Although I like both, and have enjoyed laughs watching both guys.

6. The older generation prefers Letterman/Leno.

The younger generation prefers Conan/Stewart/Colbert.

In my observation we kids understand humor much better than the older crowd. All they need in a show that airs after 7pm is something to chuckle to while sipping their decaf coffee sitting on the couch in their nightgown...or so i imagine.

We 'kids' need something with substance and humor.

:P

*EDIT: "Get off my lawn you CoCo fans. You and your damn rock music*

7. Hey Britethorn....
I normally enjoy your posts but considering the major problems with all the people that have died and all the people that are still dying in Haiti this week I think the late night line-up is very insignificant and at the bottom of the totem pole of things to be upset about.
Perhaps as Americans we should be focusing on more important issues such as: poverty/starvation in the world, woman's rights in Muslim countries, child exploitation/prostitution, deforestation, polluted drinking water, polluted air that we breath, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I believe that you have a constitutional right to talk about anything you wish - BUT come on - why not use your pulpit to talk about something that 'really' matters - I for one don't care which MILLIONAIRE has the 10:35 time slot over at NBC.

8. Haiti
You raise some very good points and I mostly agree with you, but what happens on Late Night Television does impact on people. Two of my friends work as writers for Conan and just loved their families from NY to LA, so this whole business is having a great impact on them. There are always people suffering and dying around the world, but if we spent every waking hour worrying about them we'd all go crazy. Life really DOES got on (thank the stars!)
I've made a donation to the Red Cross for use in Haiti, and I continue to support the BOGO Light program http://www.bogolight.com/ which is also doing work for the Haitian people. But all that said, I'll take your words to heart and see what I can come up with for my "Bully Pulpit." Thanks for the nudge.
