1. I saw this last night - it is REALLY worth watching

She was fantastic. And, funny. Rachel doesn't usually make me laugh but when she got to the part of the 'kids these days....' around child labor I doubled over.

Who would have thought?!

What *isn't* being made by child -and/or slave labor these days, anyway? You think any of the stuff you buy that's made in subsidiaries in China, Taiwan or the Philippines is made honestly?

And is anybody surprised that right-wingers, Republicans and conservatives oppose plans banning these human rights abuses? I mean, they make them *money*! Screw people's health and rights; these corporate fat cats need their profits!

9. This was an amazing bit of journalism

not that the information was hard to get to, it's been an open secret forever, but that she actually had the audacity to say this in public. I'm incredibly impressed - all journalists should be this way.

I gave up on TV long ago, it's usually about a bunch of people screaming at each other (I don't enjoy angry), or who-is-the-biggest-backstabber (don't enjoy backstabbing rivalry), but this was actually worth sitting down to watch. I hope it encourages others to spread this news around more, so it smears the whole evil multinational corporate racket so badly people can't ignore their crimes any more.

Bringing this out into the light is very! important. It shows clearly the kind of mentality that is running the US economy.
