2. Quit watching this show a few weeks after
Elizabeth came on. Her voice makes my ears bleed and her right wing opinions gives me a head ache and heart break.

3. The whole basketball issues is BS because....
Obama did not hand pick everyone ... he invited over a GROUP of folks that normally play together and it just happened that there were no women in the group that normally gets together with each other. Obama is not in control of that GROUP of people.

7. But this is exactly the problem: lots of business decisions get decided at informal things like this
And not all agencies act the way the WH did. My friend at one government agency played Around the World, shooting hoops with the political appointee and other senior management. She actually won. But clearly Obama doesn't understand that keeping women out is a problem. Then again, this is the guy who had to be begged to keep abortion in the platform last year and who chose Rick Warren to speak at the inauguration. He doesn't get his own prejudices.

10. This is bullshit

Healthcare, Iraq, Afghanistan, Unemployment, and/or gay rights are not going to be decided over a game of horse, T-ball, beer pong, or "hide and seek"!!! Get Real!

Obama has more women in his political circle than any previous president. That's inclusion. I guess he had to sink a few J's to finalize those appointments! Whatever.

11. With your logic...
Then Obama wouldn't be able to invite any groups of women that did not include men - either.

You just aren't getting it.
The group that Obama invited over did not have any women in that group BEFORE he invited the group over to play hoops.
One newscaster even said that there weren't any women that ever asked to join their b-ball group.

Obama is not responsible for the 'make-up' of that group.
Obama did not 'keep any women out' --- there were no women that played with that particular group.

It seems to me you might be an Obama hater, so I don't understand why you are here hanging out with the dems.

15. How did he "keep her out"
HE INVITED A GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT NORMALLY PLAY TOGETHER - FROM CONGRESS. Do you think it is JUST possible she isn't in the group because she's been in D/C for 5 months, isn't in congress and the group may have formed over a period of years?

Geeze take a pill. Not every thing is a conspiracy to keep women down. I take it you would back a law suit to open up Lucille Roberts, Curves and other such places to men?? After all important business relationships could be formed there.

20. Actually.... posts like yours are exactly part of the problem:

misplaced "concern" at its finest. Way to make a hill out of a complete non-issue. And all done following the lead of an idiot like Hasselbeck which has done much more to sabotage women's causes that Mr. Obama could ever dream of doing playing basketball.

Are some of you for real?

Some times a basketball game.... is just that: a basketball game. I am beginning to think some people just need the outrage, no matter how fabricated or ridiculous, just to function.

21. It seems to me that none of you have worked in high level positions
And that you really don't understand how these things work. Leisure activities--like golf and other sports--are notorious for being places where deals are made.

When you're a clerk at 7/11, this may not happen. But in high government and corporate circles, this is exactly what happens.

16. Yeah...maybe he could hit her in the face with the ball and break her nose.
(and before anyone accuses me of supporting 'violence against women, I'd like to see the same thing happen to O'Reilly, Hannity and any number of men)

5. Where was their faux outrage when Bush never invited Condaleeza Rice to clear brush at Crawford?
Grayson's right. If Obama ordered a BLT the Republicans would introduce a bill banning bacon within 24 hours.
