6. Tweety cut David Corn off
after letting Terry Jeffrey go on and on about the Bush administration's efforts to keep us safe. As usual, very little back and forth in the segment and the conservative guest gets to fume and rant while rational discaussion takes a back seat. I often wonder why Tweety bothers having guests at all when he asks and answers all the questions himself. He has an annoying habit of asking a question that is really a monologue and then when his guest starts to answer, Tweety interrupts and rephrases the question, leaving his guest little time to answer him. It happens all the time and even when I agree with him, as I did on the 9/11 issue he raised tonight, I find it irritating to watch.

7. Yes it was. Too bad he didn't mention this closer to the time,
however.

8. Welp....it took a loooooong time for Chris Matthews (and his brow-beating tactics)
to finally "catch-on". Chris Matthews has his 'finger in the wind' and sees NOW which way the wind blows.

K & R (reluctantly)....CM is still(will always be ~ most probably in my book) a "media whore".

Hooray for "all of the people" who have forced this to happen :applause: :woohoo:

10. I'm so sick of "bush and cheney kept us safe for 8 years after 9/11".
That has to be the stupidest, most transparently fraudulent talking point among the hundreds of false statements made by republicans every day. As another DUer pointed out some time ago, it is exactly like coming home in the evening to hear your babysitter say "Your toddler was killed when I let him wander out into traffic, but I kept your other kids safe for hours afterward by locking them in the basement, so I deserve praise and extra pay". And a "Keeper Of the Flame" award, too.

11. “It was worth it,” Sen. Orrin Hatch
Indeed, to this day, those involved in the decision to give the Afghan rebels access to a fortune in covert funding and top-level combat weaponry continue to defend that move in the context of the Cold War. Sen. Orrin Hatch, a senior Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee making those decisions, told my colleague Robert Windrem that he would make the same call again today even knowing what bin Laden would do subsequently. “It was worth it,” he said.
