2. I'd like to think that Herr Beck is overcome with emotion

because it dawned on him for just a split second what an utter phony he is and the fact that he accepts money in
exchange for lying to his audience and filling their heads with hatred and disingenuous nonsense but I know that isn't the reason.

of by 'socialized medicine' her whole life. She is special-needs. Never did the government say she should die, as a matter of fact the military services have VERY good services for children who are born handicapped or become that way before the age of 21. My daughter will be able to live in our home for the rest of her life because of those programs. We were also blessed by some public programs for handicapped children through the state government of Texas. I bet that those programs no longer exist.

9. The Complainers

Hitler didn't come to power because the Germans started devaluing life- They began devaluing life after Hitler came to power. The nazi eugenics program was part of Hitler's grand scheme to purify the 'master race'. (In all honesty I don't believe that Glenn Beck actually knows what 'eugenics' really means- and I'm sure his audience doesn't) The poster he held up with the CP guy was the public face of the Nazi T4 program, and was meant to make the public feel like they were doing these people a favor by putting them down.

When I look closely at it- it doesn't appear to me that this postcard is knocking the rich. In fact- although the Nazis venerated the common rural man, they had the backing of the industrialists. These guys look more like they are being left behind- and they look like they are supposed to be intellectuals and Jews. (Imagine that- a right wing movement that's anti-intellectual...)

partly by telling the people that he would vindicate them after the Allies stabbed them in the back at Versailles. In effect, he told them what they wanted to hear at a time when they were at their least content.

Still doesn't seem to have been a breakdown of society or their compassion for one another. But I guess if it helps Beck, he can say they did just about anything.

12. You're right- It wasn't a breakdown of society-

-and Beck is using it for his own purposes. It was the Nazi government that devalued life, at least life it considered undesirable (Jews, Gypsies, Slavs, the infirm, the feebleminded, homosexuals, etc.) and they ran a massive propaganda campaign to encourage public complicity with their policies.

I'm really not arguing with you here so much as I am with Herr Beck.
