1. Now I have another reason not to shop at Walmart!
Whenever someone mentions shopping there, Glenn Beck will automatically pop in my head.

5. Not even the founders were African American
Red Lobster was founded in 1968 by entrepreneurs Bill Darden & Charley Woodsby. Originally billed as a "Harbor for Seafood Lovers", the original restaurant in Lakeland, Florida was followed by several others throughout the Southeast. General Mills acquired Red Lobster in 1970 as a five-unit restaurant company. The chain expanded rapidly in the 1980s.

In 1995, Red Lobster (along with Olive Garden and other sister chains) became part of Darden Restaurants, which was spun off from General Mills as an independent, publicly traded corporation.

4. tell Red Lobster your views -- here's the link below
https://www.redlobster.com/contact_us/Default.asp?

Here is what I posted:

Given the number of African American customers I see in Red Lobster restaurants and the general family-oriented tone of your restaurants -- I am surprised you sponsor Glen Beck's program.

See this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3yaJ5nIRrE

Please reconsider your sponsorship of that devisive prgoram, which is so contrary to your image.

6. Didn't Red Lobster supposedly pull ads from Letterman after the Sarah Palin comments?
although technically I think they already had allocated their year's budget. But they still took a public position if I remember correctly. If not, please correct me because I don't want to blame them unfairly.

15. Thanks for the link to Red Lobster.
I sent them an e-mail containing a lot of the points you made as well as some others that I find to be personally relevant. My wife was a server at a local Red Lobster for about six months and she is disgraced knowing that she worked for Darden.

24. Message from The Travelocity Team
Good afternoon – Thank you for contacting us to express your concerns. Travelocity did not specifically place our ad on the show. We basically buy ads in bulk and then they are placed somewhat randomly. However, as of last Monday we specifically asked that our ads do not appear during this show.

Sincerely,
The Travelocity Team

To whom it may concern,

This is in response to your recent communication regarding a Clorox Company advertisement. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We very much appreciate your feedback and vigilance of broadcast television as The Clorox Company remains committed to quality broadcasting. We pride ourselves in being a responsible advertiser and have established strict standards for the selection of television programming. Per our standards, we do not advertise in programs that display exploitive sex or violence; treat ethnic, religious or political groups in a disparaging manner; present facts inaccurately or distort them to blatantly partisan advantage; and treat individuals or groups in a demeaning manner.

We understand that while Glenn Beck was a guest on the program Fox & Friends on 7/28/09, he made the statements that you wrote to us about. After a thorough investigation by our agency partners, we have confirmed that no Clorox Company advertisement aired in the above program where Glenn Beck made the specific comments you referenced. While we’ve had limited advertisements on the Glenn Beck Program in the past, the programming content at issue would not adhere to our programming standards and furthermore we will continue to rigorously scrutinize these types of shows for participation.

Today’s television programming environment is extremely challenging for responsible advertisers. However, The Clorox Company will continue to exercise special care in all program and station selection. We do not want to support programming that is in conflict with our programming standards.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.

Sincerely,

James Weeks

27. Message from LOWES
From:
"Contact Center" <[email protected]>

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your concerns regarding the FOX Network.

Lowe’s has strict guidelines that govern the placement of our advertising. Our company advertises primarily in national, network prime-time television programs and on a variety of cable outlets.

Lowe’s constantly reviews advertising buys to make certain they are consistent with its policy guidelines. And, while we choose the programs in which to advertise carefully, we are unable to control the content of news programs.

Our goal is to provide the best service, products, and shopping environment in the home improvement industry. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with our advertising department as they evaluate future advertising opportunities.

Thank you,

Lowe's Customer Care

33. Hahahaha! Get this...
I was over reading Palin's FaceBooks page and folks over there are asking people to Boycott the sponsors that pulled their ads from Glen Beck's show.

There is a website that lists Glen Beck's sponsors and they want people to use the site to write 'positive' letters regarding Beck to urge them to keep advertising on his show.

Here is the website with all the company names, phone numbers, and emails

http://defendglenn.com/advertisers.php

Feel free to use the site in order to contact the sponsors to tell them YOU WILL BOYCOTT THEM IF THEY 'CONTINUE' TO SUPPORT BECK!

We might as well use 'their' list to help US Boycott them!
