2) The host recognizes the value of your opinion, thereby validating your appearance.
3) You give opinions that support and validate the reporting.

I like Tommy Chong, he is more complicated than his "character" appears...

I don't know how MSNBC got it wrong. Usually they are able to determine the stance of the person who they are going to bring on their show just as in trials the experts almost always agree with the side they are testifying for.

Anyone familiar with the impeccable comic timing of "That's VODKA, man!" would know Chong's genius. It's up there with Jim Carey and Jeremy Piven.
