9. You can't expect everyone to roll the R as in the last letter of her name

or in "Rodriguez", for example. It is fully acceptable for non-Spanish speaking people to not be aware of the intricacies of pronouncing Hispanic names. However, it is proper and courteous to at least put the accents in the right place. Yesterday, as a way to insult Sotomayor, Rush was pronouncing her name soto-MEY-er with the accent on the caps in stead of the correct pronunciation of the appropriate syllables.
