2. Yet ANOTHER pug whack group. Just when you think
you've seen the bottom of their cesspool, another layer is peeled away. That party has the most deviant, depraved, and decadent members of any political organization, EVER.

BAR NONE.

5. A goodly bit of Jeff Sharlet's book on the family can be read on books.google.com - link
The Family: Power, Politics and Fundamentalism's Shadow Elite by Jeff Sharlet

A journalist's penetrating and controversial look at the untold story of Christian fundamentalism's most elite organisation: a self-described 'invisible' global network dedicated to a religion of power for the powerful. They are the Family - fundamentalism's avant-garde, waging spiritural war in the halls of American power and around the globe. They consider themselves the 'new chosen': congressmen, generals and foreign dictators who meet in confidential cells, to pray and plan for a 'leadership led by God', to be won not by force but through 'quiet diplomacy'. Jeff Sharlet is the only journalist to have reported from inside its walls. THE FAMILY is about this other half of American fundamentalist power - not its angry masses, but its sophisticated elites. In public, they host Prayer Breakfasts; in private they preach a gospel of 'biblical capitalism', military might and a global American empire. Citing Hitler, Lenin and Mao as leadership models, the Family's current leader, Doug Coe, declares, 'We work with power where we can, build new power where we can't'. Part history, part investigative journalism, THE FAMILY is a compelling account of how fundamentalism came to be interwoven with American power and the no-holds-barred economics of globalisation. No other book about the Right has exposed the Family or revealed its far-reaching impact on democracy, and no future reckoning of fundamentalism will be able to ignore it.

13. Wait! I thought a secret cartel of Jewish Bankers were taking over the world!
The Abrahamic religions are the scourge of the world! All 3 of them suck! They've cause more grief and trouble in the world than anything else.

If you must be religious... and apparently some people must... be a Buddhist or something! Jainism or Shinto....anything but Christian/Jewish/Muslim!!!!!

6. Rachel's reference to the Mafia is interesting, given Ensign's
Vegas casino money roots...........Is he both "Christian Mafia" AND La Cosa Nostra?

For years I have wondered if he was part of a mob plan to take the WH.

9. I think it is time we ALL call our houses 'churches' and save on taxes - what say you?

I'm feeling very 'enlightened' by how religious fanatics work in this country all of a sudden. I think we should all learn from them.

Who could take those sermons seriously? It's just what Betty Bowers (she's a better Christian than you) says....as a joke! But no....these lemming Congress critters LIVE in this all male (apparently) "church" of "do what you want because God chose you and has made you above all laws. Morality is for the unchosen chumps".

It's like supernatural ego camp for men in mid-life crisis!

All members of this Christian Fascism Club must be revealed and watched closely.

Yes you are free to practice any religion you want....but you are not above the law. And if you are a member of Government and hold this Christian group above your pledge to support the US Constitution and Laws....then everyone should know about it. If it effects your public job, the public should know.

Besides....just look how well their philosophy works!

14.  Why are they paying only $600 a month to live there when rent is so very high in D.C.
The ethics committee should be investigating this!
