"Rev. Wiley Drake is from the 1st Southern Baptist Church of Buena Park, and he believes in something called imprecatory prayer, which apparently means praying that someone dies - which is always classy."

1. Doesn't it say in the bible somewhere that doing so is a serious no-no?

3. "Always classy" LOL. I don't imagine prayers like theirs are well received by any deity.

Heaven is presumably a place of eternal love, why can't they see the discrepancy between how they behave and the concept of heaven. Very odd. Their heaven is most likely very hot all the year round. Unless they start seeing the light pretty soon, slim chance though. I mean in their version heaven they apprently all walk round with guns and say torture is fine, well hmmm. I'll pass, although the eternal love thing I could go for that. If reincarnation does exist and humankind does evolve to greater peace maybe heaven is potentially here all along.

"and the meek shall inherit the earth."

4. That's why we have churches.
God talks directly to the church leader because the creator of the universe couldn't possibly make it to everyone. It's not like he's Santa Claus or something else ridiculous.

10. well, professional athletes and bookies keep God pretty busy these days
I mean, He has to keep track of all those stats and whatnot; I imagine it could get very tiresome.

7. Matthew 7:1-5
Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

9. What a crock of crap.....
First of all, I don't believe God's responds to prayers to kill or cause the death of one of God's creations by others. We are not to judge others lest we be judged and the universal commandment to love one another. That said, how does this crock know what Dr. Tiller or Barack's relationships are with God? He says Dr. Tiller had not accepted the Jesus dude as his savior. What is his basis for this? He has none except to say that unless you are a member of his denomination and spew his same version of hate you are an outsider.

I am a Christian and basically discount 90% of what is in the Bible and 100% of organized religion because much of the Bible was written by men for political and social purposes with nothing to do with God and organized religion around the world is corrupt. This is true whether in the Christian church, Islam, etc. Organized religion is corrupted by man to serve his own purposes, not God's.

But this pastor should be brought up on charges. In my mind praying for the death of another, especially when coupled with his ability to influence nutcases, rises to the level of a credible threat.

13. So this preacher wants Biden as President?
Simpleton racist, that's all he is. I hope whatever church ordained him takes it back, and shuns him.
