1. That's just sad .............
Someone actually thought that was "Maher being owned" by that goofball?

Ah, well, if it brings them some small, soft comfort, it's worth it ................

2. Odd little squibblet. Not having seen Religulous, I have no context . . .
To interpret it with. I think the same is true of anyone who sees that clip who's not seen the movie.

16. Two quotes...
Senator Pryor: "You don't have to pass an IQ test to become a senator, though."

Good lord ... listening to that guy I think they should have to take a test!!!

Bill Maher: "GROW UP OR DIE!"

He got that one right!

3. Tee, hee.
To me, the funny thing about the question, "Are you god?" is that if Maher said, "Yes," would the other person then follow and worship Maher? If not, then there doesn't seem to be any compelling reason to follow the bible as that is pretty much all the bible is: I'm telling you this is god so believe it.

6. "Unassailable Logic"???
"God is an infinite God who is working in ways we don't always understand."

Unassailable logic? There's NO logic in a statement like that.

:spray:

8. It is unassailable though.
Just like "I killed them because my dog told me to. You'd have to ask him why."

13. I checked the original youtube poster's other videos
Edited on Mon May-04-09 12:29 AM by provis99
I thought the introduction on the video might be mockingly ironic. But his list is mostly stuff about Michael Savage, Alex Jones, the "dangers" of fluoride in drinking water, new world order conspiracies; that type of creepy stuff. The poster is a total nutcase who probably does believe Bill Maher was "owned" by Ken Ham.

14. Ham once got owned by a guy feigning mental disabilities
There's video here:
http://buffalobeast.com/117/let_there_be_retards.htm

Not very PC, but funny to me.

Construing that clip as Maher getting 'owned' is hilarious.

17. Reading Dante Alighieri's "Divine comedy" was an insight into religious logic to me (no, seriously!)
I'd especially recommend the 3rd part "Heaven".
You will find, that there is an inherent logic in a belief. (I was surprised: A perfect logical string of deductions. And deep philosophical implications in all this.)
Nevertheless, all these arguments and deductions are based on the presumptions of the mentioned religion: There is a god. God created everything. God knows everything...

So, it perfectly makes sense.
For them.
