CNBC's Jim Cramer being taken to task for his careless financial advice is the result of a larger problem with traditional media. Rather than investigating and reporting, they simply take talking points from corporations and spout them off as legitimate reporting. Mike Papantonio talks about how these financial pundits have bankrupted the economy, as well as the entire journalism profession.

1. It was amusing yesterday (Thursday) how Cramer.......

went on Hardball, and after a soppy intro from Matthews ("My man!"), sang a paean to Obama, declaring that the worst rut of the recession was past. His eyes were bright and he was all smiles and eager to "rehabilitate" himself. Damn funny, but I wish he and the other financial performers would just give up the idiot histrionics and do some decent, honest reporting. But I guess you have to jump the shark to rake in the loot.
