The use of the play on words "Youthanize" / "Euthanize" in this Direct TV commercial I found hardly humorous in light of all the FEMA camp media coverage as of late in the MSM, and the speculation that these could in fact be used as death camps.

The graphic design in the commercial itself puts to use extremely subtle symbol encryption.

Stock swap with Liberty Media for their NewsCorp shares.

3. While I don't think the direct TV ads are very clever...
...despite using many from Chris Guest's mockumentary ensemble, I don't find it distasteful nor disturbing.

5. regardless of this FEMA camp talk
and mass grave construction this on its own is a total ridiculous commercial and at best a poor attempt at humor
Is this a recent commercial?

6. This is not the least bit disturbing, much less subtle or clever.
The worst thing I can say about it is it is completely not funny because it plays such a STUPID obvious pun for the dummies of America, just as dumb as the "youth-in-Asia" joke. Sadly, that is an ever increasing market segment.

7. Must this be explained? For the sake of sanity I volunteer.
This 'comedy' commercial concept is based on the idea that some executives are so dimwitted that they do not realize the word Youthanize sounds like Euthanize or even know the meaning of the word.

There is also an old joke that asks, "Are you for Euthanasia?" Answer, "Yes. Youth in Asia should be supported. They are educated well."

9. Are you sure that the Freemasonic symbol
and the pyramid with the eye symbol are infact a part of the original commercial? If they are that is pretty crazy.

11. The illuminati and masonic symbols are not in the original...
They are placed over the top of the commercial to emphasize that the graphic design is purposely and perfectly organized into the key formations of those symbols.

Also of note is that the "youthenize" sign held up in the video is imposed over a graphic of the world...this should be disturbing if you've gone into the rabbit hole pretty deep...(population reduction Hitler styler on a global scale by the world elite)...

21. ya know...sometimes humorous TV advertising is just thatt. Or designed to be.
I SERIOUSLY doubt DirecTV is part of some plot to kill everyone in the world.

How would they make money off the NFL package if we're all dead?

14. i agree
this was just a commercial, and to me, it was funny. i'm not going to start killing people as a result of it, nor will i be switching to direct tv. everyone needs to take a deep breath, exhale, and chill the fuck out. not everything in the world is a conspiracy. there are bigger issues that need to be dealt with in the country today.

13. I thought it was kinda funny.
It pokes fun at some the silly word campaigns that corporations come up with and pass on without a second thought. It reminds me of the funny HBO production Head Office that some political conservatives find objectionable.

15. This amusing commercial... FEMA camps....disturbing....
The only thing disturbing is the outrageous outrage about a pun. Tying it into another stupid thing to (not) worry about...FEMA camps.

This is what you worry about all day? In this day and age?

YIKES!

See a doctor!

16. This is silly..
This is the kind of ignorant fear-mongering one would expect to see on repug websites. Come on...for crying out loud, it's a commercial making fun of executives who are out of touch with reality!

31. It may very well be that...
...but it is quite offensive in its use of rhetoric. I am on Armenian descent, and I would imagine that those who have had family members die in mass exterminations have a proclivity to see this sort of language in a much more sensitive way.

24. Let's set aside the FEMA camps for a minute and discuss...
the fact that after Auschwitz, Sobibor, Belsen, etc, there is no context whatsoever, at any point in human history thereafter, where the wordplay of "youthenize" can be found humorous. The alleged joke of this commercial is, to my view, just as bad as any "Ni**er" joke, sexist joke, etc. Worse actually...Making fun of the idea of mass killing is NEVER cool.

The graphics added in at the end are NOT real, though.

26. talk about your subliminal programming...
guess they feel its time now to desensitize Americans to the idea of Euthanizing the elderly (grandma and grandpa), the crippled, the ill, those of the wrong religion, etc, etc.
After all we have been following previous historical blue prints right down the line so far so this is the next step.

29. Absolutely, that is precisely the aim of this commercial
and unfortunately the grand majority of discussants here want to laugh like it is some super bowl ad.
