2. LOL - great vid!
I understand the "commune with the universe" type of prayer (kind of) but the idea of praying for material things, or for outcomes that violate the laws of physics, just seems stupid to me. It comes from a 5-year-old's view of the way God works - kind of like your dad, basically. If you wheedle and wheedle he might get sick of it and buy you those baseball cards!

One of our great philosophers from the past said it best:

"You cannot petition the Lord with prayer!"
