1. Yes he does!
He should get whatever anyone else would get, not more and not less!

4. Dead on
What does somebody charged with illegal possession of firearms usually get after literally shooting himself in the foot? If Plaxico gets nothing worse than that, I'll be satisfied that he got no preferential treatment.

If he is a disruption force to the team, then he should be traded or released by the Giants. He should get them a choice draft pick or two. The wound would probably keep him out of the playoffs, anyway, so there was no reason to "suspend" him.

6. NO It's what does someone get who carries a firearm into a nightclub in NYC?
A 6'5" athelete, who is in the company of a linebacker, goes into a nightclub where people are drinking
with a gun. I don't care if he shot himself in the foot, he's a moron, and he broke the law.

7. Geez you guys don't get it do you?
The whole point with Plax and the Giants actions are about a team vs. the individual.
You guys are talking about the rights of the individual. You are ignoring the
responsibilities he owes the team. It has nothing to do with image and role models.
It's about conduct detrimental to the team. Remember when the player at the super bowl
got busted the night before the game? His team got CREAMED.
What Plax did was stupid, he may have taken down Antonio Pierce, who probably tried
to help his buddy. No matter what, he broke the law.
I am a card carrying ACLU member, but football is a sport that's about putting the
good of the team above the individual. That is how teams win. Football is like war.
Soldiers are held to a higher code then civilians, and so are football players, most
civilians don't make $5 million a year. There is a responsibility that goes with that
and there are demands that go with that. The responsibility is to the team. He should
be suspended, he shouldn't be paid for those games, he's jeopardized the prospects of
the team
