still apologetic about this administration, I will recommend this video. This has rendered me speechless and it is foolish to think it will not have repercussions. If there truly is justice in the universe, then Bush and his gang MUST be sent to Den Haag.

I was in such a rage that I didn't formulate that very well. No one here is apologetic but plenty are outside of DU. I meet them everyday and even have some in my own family, to my shame. Those are the ones I meant. This will definitely be a topic at the Thanksgiving table this year and I'm going to be relentless.

7. Cowboy Politics...?
Is Bush seriously so mentally impaired that he thinks putting a human head on a wall or mantle is similar to putting a deer head on a wall?

Suskind reports new details on Delta Force's shipment of a hatbox-sized container to Dulles Airport in Washington's Virginia suburbs in mid-2002. The round metal box, Army green with "US GOVERNMENT" emblazoned in yellow, purportedly contained the severed head of Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's top deputy. He supposedly had been killed in December 2001, and buried in an Afghan riverbed. With a $25 million bounty on his head, Afghan tribal chiefs provided the jawless head to the U.S. military. The skull, Suskind reports, still had a bit of skin attached to its crown when the container finally was opened inside a room at Dulles, and its forehead had an indentation, consistent with a lifetime of pressing one's head against stone or dirt to highlight one's commitment to Allah. "If it turns out to be Zawahiri's head, I hope you'll bring it here," Bush told his briefers — "half in jest," Suskind writes. But DNA testing ultimately revealed the skull wasn't Zawahiri's. It was shipped off to an FBI warehouse on Staten Island.

Source: http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1206001,00.html

When the green metal box first arrived in Washington from Kabul, allegedly bearing the skull of Osama bin Laden's chief lieutenant, President George W. Bush is said to have said, only half in jest: "So if it turns out to be Zawahiri's head, I hope you will bring it here."

The severed head turned out not to be Zawahiri's, and the skull was shipped to a warehouse in New York's Staten Island, according to Suskind. George Tenet, CIA director, got to keep the tin box it came in.

These articles came in around April 2007. Our president is SICK and absolutely DISGUSTING... Can we impeach him now?!?!

Where did "we" need to be? Did we get there yet? Our nation and government are fracturing, is that the direction "we" really wanted to go? WTF, this has turned into something from Shakespeare, or Homer.
The US lost its way "a little bit"? Or is this where we have been headed since Wilson? Our military has to be re-structured. This is insanity.

26. Every time you think you've heard it all about Bush
something like this comes up. This is just sick. I'd like to say it's not true, but I've already perused the above posts and caught the one with additional documentation on the subject, including information from Ron Suskind.

It explains a lot about the torture program. It doesn't matter to Bush whether information gained by waterboarding is any good or not. It just feels good, like lighting firecrackers in a frog's mouth.

33. I hate Bush with all my heart...
...but I doubt this is true. Come on really? Their main witness is Ron Suskind, who recently came out with a book that made impeachable charges against Bush, and it was largely forgotten after he made his media rounds. Don't you think that the democrats, or at least Dennis Kucinich, would have jumped on these accusations if there were any truth to them? Something that outrageous has to be backed up by hard proof even when it comes to a monster like Bush.

34. I will donate $500.....
.... to ANY organization that will place a Bounty on Bush/Cheney to be paid to anyone who provides concrete evidence that leads to their indictment or arrest.

A small, transparent trust located in a neutral country like Switzerland could administer the fund. If the BOUNTY is promoted internationally, it would quickly grow to Mega-Millions.

The fund would also be tasked with running full page Wanted For War Crimes ads in major Global newspapers every 3 months until the Bounty is awarded or depleted.

I believe that such a fund would be wildly popular worldwide, and provide the administrators an opportunity to make a little money.
I have neither the resources or skills to institute such a fund, but like I said above, I am willing to donate $100. I also believe that there are at least a million more worldwide (extreme minimum) who would also be willing to donate....that adds up to some serious money.

Wanted
for
WAR CRIMES

A $500 Million Dollar Reward will be paid to any individual, organization, or country that provides concrete information leading to the arrest, or the issuance of an Internal Arrest Warrant for War Crimes committed by George Bush, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, or Donald Rumsfeld.

It is clear that the Opposition Party (Democratic Party) and the US Justice Department will do NOTHING to hold the criminals accountable.
Maybe a private organization representing Citizens of the World would have better results.
After observing the response to Michele Bachmann's appearance on MSNBC, I have no doubt that such a fund a HUGE success.

Even if Bush/Cheney are never arrested, a Mega-Million Dollar International Bounty would certainly keep them looking over their shoulders, curtail retirement travel plans, AND serve as a warning to future "Unitary Executives".

It would also put a nice ribbon around the Bush Legacy.

39. that's f'n twisted
That Bush is one sick individual.

The sickness is spreading, too. I used to sell custom boots at the factory where they were made. We sold mostly cowhide boots, but also a few exotic leathers like ostrich, stingray, and sharkskin. I have a pair of beavertail boots. In '06 we hired an Iraq vet who was disabled from being hit by an IED. He was an explosives expert with the marine corps. He often bragged about his confirmed kills. I think war (especially the Iraq war) is not the answer to our problems. This marine, however, thought war was the coolest thing ever. He said many times that he wished he could have skinned his kills so he could have "human skin cowboy boots."

What the fuck is wrong with people?!?

That song is one of my favorites...

It ticks me off to NO END that these crazy sick fucks have "cornered" the market on GOD.

Bush, cheney, et al need to be imprisoned...I'd LIKE them to sit there and think about what they did and be reminded every day about the countless people they had a hand in killing...both, ours and Iraqis... maybe have them have a session where they have to hear testimony from family about who the person really was, their story...
But then I realize that for sociopaths like thes guys, there is no capacity for remorse and emotions like sorrow and grief are just 'less-than' human qualities. They think nthey are superior, and their OWN lives and lifestyles are really the only thing they value.
Let's condemn them to poverty and tell them they will be taken out within a couple years...always looking over their shoulder. No skills, how far would they sink?

...After being shown the heads, Bush would have it prepared French-style,
then, sitting alone at a huge table in the White House,
devour the brains and eyeballs.

He would save the cheeks for final chewing, and drink his
favorite aperitif out of the empty skull.

Hey, I wouldn't put it past him--He's a Bush, ain't he?

92. I was raised a Christian. I was taught that the body was the temple of the soul. I regret
the contempt that Christians in this country hold for the other peoples' cultures and religion. How can Christianity be superior to other religions if there is no respect for the life or the body/temple? I must not have been told the truth? We foolishly honored the souls that once lived in those temples by continuin the rituals of funerals so that we could honor the body, the person - for nothing? This is what CHristians do? Kill and then dismember and glorify? Destroy the religion and bible class books we give the children. They are all lies. Including the civil side of civics.

Or is what happened here completely unique? A single person went crazy and to allow the carzy moment, all these seasoned and trained adults in the service of our government scurryied around to appease the person that Antonio Scalia and Clarence Thomas and the other Justices placed there?

93. I think it's something to fool us,
They didn't want those guys that bad. Why wasn't Atef's head brought to Washington? It's a gruesome story to cover up treason. Something to get Bush's base mastarbating all over themselves because W's such a tough cowboy. I think it's just political disinformation myself.
If Bin Laden would lose his head, dirt on this nest of crooks we had in power the last 8 years would come out. I think it's just a cover-up story even though Susskind bought it. No one's perfect.

First clue: Video said that *ush wanted bin Laden's head. Yea right.

As sick as this is, the repugs I know will lap this up like some kind of confirmation about how tough they are on terrorists. True or not, our problem is that we have a lot of crazy, stupid people in our midst who are like zombies for limpaugh and hannity and a thousand other brain washing fanatics. Remember, to them we are just terrorist sympathizers. They are looking for a reason to just snap. Thirty years of blaming liberals. Unless they repent, they're just laying low and waiting.

101. Nope. Al-Zawahri was killed, re-killed and is back - in Pakistan.
Injured, re-killed Ayman al-Zawahri is back! By Lori Price 29 Sep 2008

The elusive, whack-a-mole al-Qaeda #2 is 'visiting' a main operating base for al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Pakistan. You just can't keep a good terrorist down (or dead) for long, especially during the run-up to a US 'election!'

Taliban show no let up despite 8,000 soldiers in FATA 28 Sep 2008 Taliban hostilities show no sign of abating despite the deployment of 8,000 troops in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and the army’s claim of killing 1,000 Taliban, according to The Times. The newspaper said in a report on Saturday that a constant supply of fresh fighters from inside the country and across the border in Afghanistan is helping the Taliban to stay in the fight. Bajaur Agency is a main operating base for Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Pakistani intelligence believes that Ayman al-Zawahri, the second-in-command of Al Qaeda, has been a visitor.
