Very well done piece and you don't have to hear Sarah's voice ONCE!

2. Can these people do ANYTHING right?
They should write a book on "How to Lose an Election". Its like everyone in the campaign is working independently of everyone else! Total chaos, but really nice clothes!

3. I can't even envision buying $150,000 worth of clothes
If I live to be 80 years old, that is $156.25 a month, every month since I was born for clothes!
Yeah, I can just see the national budget she submits to Congress...

5. I hate clothes shopping
If I can't find what I want quickly (and cheaply), I'm out of there. Like fine art, I can appreciate it, but doesn't mean I need to own it.

Love your sig line - kind of appropriate for this topic.

8. OMG, you're right!
Can you imagine what she'd budget for the White House redecoration? Wasn't there something about the Wasilla mayor's office being redecorated to look like a bordello? Woohoo! Fun times!

6. As petty as this story was I believe that it was the final straw for Palin.
She's ready to be thrown off of the bus Mr. McCain.

7. Unfortunately a $150,000 temporary wardrobe
for Joe-six-pack gal, really is a slap in the face for the many people who are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. It was insensitive and politically stupid. Once again republican incompetence in action!

9. You're totally right.
Like I was saying on a thread last night, I think this deep dive into couture is a Cindy move, and it just shows how wayyyyyyy out of touch with the American mainstream these people are. My husband and I both still have nice-paying jobs (knock wood) and a roof over our heads, but we haven't bought clothes -- other than Obama T-shirts, of course! -- in over five months. It just doesn't seem like the time, yanno?

10. I think you're right about Cindy
She really does appear to spend a lot of money on clothes and has no reason to think twice about it. She's always had money.

Clothes? I haven't bought anything this year. My daughter bought me some flip-flops because mine got lost in the hospital! I think she squandered $3.00 whole dollars on them. She's really frivolous that way. And I'll wear them until they fall apart, like I do with all my shoes!

11. and her 23,500.00 make up bill for 2 weeks
and guess what people? We still don't have the hair dresser bill.... or the alterations bill.... or the spa bill... or the mani pedi bills...

Clearly she is a celebrity and not a politician.

It's sickening that she could spend that much when people in this country are homeless and I don't buy the story that she didn't know where they were shopping. No stylist in their right mind would have bought that hideous red leather jacket for a politician -- PETA alone would prohibit that. Not to mention that everything fit her to a T (and tighter) -- meaning, she had it all tailored to fit her exactly. Neimans and Saks offer those services, or if she's really a celeb, she has her own alterations person -- her "dresser".

I think I'm going to be ill.

Someone stole our Obama sign last night, and I'm pissed, Palin!

12. Sorry about your sign
Sure has been a lot of that lately.

You just know that small-town Sarah is eating up all this attention. I hope she realizes that the party is almost over now. She'd better sign some kind of deal with a TV station or book publisher quickly if she wants to sustain this lifestyle.

13. thank re the sign -- husband was POed!
I only got one because I was volunteering - they are hard to get here. Oh well- shows they're desperate.

yeah, it's all over but the final goodbye for her. I can't imagine how she's convinced herself or her "party" that she's their star for 2012..but if they want to run with that- by all means.

they only lost at least half their party over this -- so they can keep it up. Good riddance to bad rubbish. May they rot in hell.

14. There's been a lot of talk
about Sarah getting her own TV show and I figure Alaska would love to see her leave them now that she's made Alaska look like fundie capital of the world!

As for 2012, if her appeal couldn't hold for a couple of months, I doubt there will be any left in four years. Just think, we won't have to hear that voice ever again!

15. I'm just scared that she can't do TV
I'd love it if she ended up on Fox or something -- but she can barely read the same script she's been using since her roll out. I'm not sure she could interview people or even read a teleprompter filled with NEW info. It's one thing to study the speech in advance, but another to read it cold -- and she lost her sports caster job for a reason, no?

Maybe she could start a TV church? the new Tammy Faye? Though, Tammy Faye seemed to have a heart, unlike animal killing uterus owning Palin.

Let's hope TV claims her. I'm still holding out hope that Troopergate turns into criminal charges re the use of Wooten's workman comp files. I think she's look fantastic, per Paris, in orange:-)

16. Well she could be a side-kick to someone
like Hannity. He would love that. Or as a few people have suggested, she could have a reality show with the family like the Osbournes or Gene Simmons. She could have another baby that could grow up with Bristol's little one! You know there are people somewhere tossing ideas around already.

19. Yeah, I can hear the pitch meeting now
Writer/EP: It's the Osbournes meet Tammy Faye meet Hannity!!!! It's so red state!

Executives: (never having been to any state in the middle of the country -- do they even exist, they wonder silently...but they can add...Money talks) this only works if we can get the family doing those alaskan things....what is it they do there? Shoot moose? (exec examines his manicured nails, horrified at idea of hunting, wilderness, and cold). Be sure to mount a few cameras in that whacked out church she goes to...And follow that baby. See if she ever holds it. Drama -- get that guy she had an affair with and throw him in the mix-- maybe they can all meet up at the church? would that happen?

Writer nods excitedly. He's thinking about Palin money. Writer: Don't forget we have the shot gun wedding coming up, troopergate criminal charges, the second troopergate investigation, wardrobe gate, pipeline gate-- I mean, the work stuff is writing itself. She's a goldmine of drama. a walking disaster with no scruples about her private life or her family. She's perfect.

Executives (shrewd greed sparkling in their eyes): If you can get Palins exclusively and with no conditions, it's a done deal. Let's see if Fox will pick it up as some sort of news/reality show deal in between Hannity and Friends and their "news" shows. You know, "meet the Palins" kinda thing.

Writer: I was going with "pallin around with Palins".

Executives nod...that will go right over the red state people's heads, and the coasts will love it! : Done.

they all do the fist bump and go back to being the profoundly un American liberals they are.

20. "Meet the Palins"
That's the show I'm picturing. Have to have some family arguments, kids losing it, Dad going off to the garage to escape, Piper protecting her baby brother from her wacky family, etc. Then they'd have the individual interviews with each family member as they vent to the camera about the one(s) who are causing them so much grief.

If ratings start to slip, they can fake another teenage pregnancy!

21. love it...
I'm still liking "Pallin with the Palins" just cuz it riffs on her "pallin with terrorists" bit, but it works either way...

Also there's the Pastor Muthee church day footage -- what fun! give him a Pastor Cam and see what happens?

Maybe Trig needs his own Trigg cam, and we can see just how many times his mommy picks him up in a day?

Clearly we need wardrobe cam, and snowmobile cam, and moose cam.

there's also the chef (who is still the chef, even though she was "fired" -- Palinese for reassigned under different title but still doing same thing).

Is there some way we can have a linguist on to translate Palinese for the people? Maybe we need subtitles for whole show?

yeah, there's so much to do -- this is comedy/reality gold.

MEET THE PALINS

or

PALIN WITH THE PALINS

you decide.

22. I love "Palin with the Palins"
That's a tough choice.

This show has so many possibilities. There is all the lower color in Wasilla as well, some real memorable characters who will love all the attention. Those people in the local bar were definitely "comedy/reality gold" and they don't even realize it.

After a few months of constant scrutiny, the whole place will probably self-destruct!
