Poor, victimized Goopers. Always tricked into saying what they really think by that wily Chris Matthews.

Bonus idiocy: Bachmann was acting as a sent surrogate for McCain/Palin on that Hardball! Way to send your first-stringers, you idiots.

1. Using the 'real Americans' divide and conquer remarks WAS a talking point.
Palin said it
Bachman said it
Hayes said it
Nancy Pfotenhauer said it

all either on the same day or days of each other.

Except it backfired and now the McCain cabal have the luxury of being innocent of pushing this 'real America' meme.

2. "Hanging around
with people like that?"

Wow, are they still trying to use Ayers as a talking point? How sad.

3. I will agree. Matthews does get people to say stupid
shit they probably weren't supposed to think out loud. He asked her many times, and she had the chance to change her story.

5. The Reason He Lies Like This

is NOT to try and re-write history for those who already saw Bachmann's comments; he says this so that the intellectually lazy repub base, who are AFRAID to look into anything that might make their candidate look bad, will have an excuse to put the matter out of their minds.

This kind of revisionist history is to me the fundamental problem with that whole party. Intellectual laziness and revisionist history are a recipe for everything that is wrong with the US. Gore Vidal called it the United States of Amnesia. Bang on.

6. What they are upset about is that Tweety laughed at her rather than starting a media feeding
frenzy asking "Is Obama anti-American" or "Who should head up the committee to investigate anti-American activities in Congress." That is so 2006. Bachman should have said it on Faux. They would have treated as if it were a legitimate question.

Tweety is back on my Christmas card list for now. Excuse me, Holiday card list.
