When you promote a grotesque program like Gov. Sarah Palin’s Alaska wolf slaughter, expect gruesome results.

A startling example: In June, after gunning down 14 adult wolves from a helicopter, officials from Gov. Palin’s Department of Fish and Game rounded up 14 orphaned wolf pups and methodically shot each one in the head in clear violation of a state law.

State law prohibits the targeting of pups — a practice known as denning. Maybe that’s why Palin’s officials tried to cover it up, making no mention of the brutal pup executions in the state’s June 30 press release on the killings. To date, none of the officials involved in the incident has been held accountable.

10. I should have known....
this was her response:

This is sad…however 2 things….

#1 – we completely disagree on our politics and it just causes division between us…do we really want to go there?

#2 – I am MORE DISTURBED about HUMAN LIFE than that of wolf puppies

my response:

Well, you did bring up the Palin thing the other night. I didn’t realize all life was not life…..only human life counts. You can see what a slippery slope that is….. I disturbed by the slaughter life for profit (there are bounties being collected that she authorized) that is walking around breathing rather than a collection of cells that has not left the womb. Again you see what a slippery slope this kind of parsing is…….

12. ladywnch - here is my response to my "human life is more important" friends and family
I hope this helps:

"We are all Pro-Life. I have never met someone who is Pro-Death! Our only difference is in how we believe reducing abortion can best be accomplished."

Think about the fact that abortion rates go down when Democrats are in office and go up again when Republicans (Bush for example) are in office.

Example: “Abortions began to drop right after Clinton signed the Family Medical Leave Act, allowing women to take maternity leave without being fired.”

Abortion rates increased again under George W. Bush, as they had under his father’s administration. The Bush policies of removing support for the American Family and their ridiculous programs of abstinence only sex education are obviously a major cause of the problem.

Republican Politicians may pretend to be pro-life, but Democrats are pro-family, and that reduces abortion more than rhetoric does. Also, Democrat’s typically support comprehensive sex education which has been a key to preventing unwanted pregnancies.

I believe that Life Begins Before Conception. If we take care of our children and our mothers before they become pregnant we can seriously reduce abortion."

11. But they were Liberal pups.
If only they had worn FETUS COSTUMES, they might still be alive right now.
