2. I asked Chuck Todd about this in an email

He said the "registered" voter one is the one to look at. He didn't say it, but, obviously the "likely" voter poll is less accurate. If accurate at all. I just take these all with a grain of salt anyway. Nate Silver has a listing of the most accurate polls this year, he incorporates that into his methodology at www.fivethirtyeight.com.

3. Who are they polling? How do you get polled?

For some reason I've never been polled nor has anybody that I know. So where are they getting the people they are polling? It seems to me that they poll to the people that are more likely to give them the results that they are looking for instead of taking a true sample of the American people. But for me there is only one poll that matters and that happens in November when we go out and actually vote.

Of course Obama is really running a good 11 or 12 points ahead of McCain, but a person would never know it by watching the polls as presented by Fox News.
