4. He's very likable.
He's also one of the Blue Dogs, and his votes often disappoint me.

6. interestingly, she could not say
homosexual - at least in this clip she went way around the barn to avoid using that word but just let a 'gang of lesbians' attack and she can use the word as long as there is negative connotation. These neo-con ass kissers are well trained!

14. OK, that's funny!
'gang of lesbians'

That's one of OK's Senators talking points that he ran on...Coburn, I think. Is he the MD? A nut-job! He was asserting that there were "gangs of lesbians" in SE Oklahoma running around attacking people.

7. This is a very interesting idea. The idea that someone's
sexual orientation is so important that it would break unit cohesion. When my dad was a teenager and looking for a job he was disqualified because he was Catholic. Not to long ago, women entering the work force were seen as less reliable because they would find a husband and start having babies. I'm sure there are other discriminations that could be substituted by this terrible projection of discrimination that is broadly painted on groups of people. I have a feeling that political discrimination is "secretly" being enforced.

10. "Don't ask don't tell" is the most childish, most idiotic thing I think I've ever heard of.
Either let the gays be in the military openly or ban them. Decide.

11. Murphy is from a conservative area outside Philadelphia
So his views on some stuff reflect that, but he is very sharp, and an Iraq
combat vet, and so tears to shreds all comers from the radical right that
come at him with their ideological agenda. He has first hand knowledge and
they don't and that's why they try the RW tactic of talking the clock out and
not trying to let him get a word in. I met him about a year and a half ago, and
he is definitely nobody's fool.

13. Wow. This gave me a lump in my throat.
I'm very impressed that the questioner didn't just cower as so many do in the face of combative testimony. Good work.
