1. This dovetails beautifully
with Blue Sapphire's call to join Edwards in his cause, Half In Ten.

Thanks for the video!

4. The only thing that makes sense;
To me at least, is that Hillary has or thinks she has something very nasty on Barack and she is willing to wait until the convention to spring it on all who attend. This idea even stretches on a few points, however, I can't make heads or tails on why she is still going balls out.

6. Not everything is about Obama. Issues are important. This was mostly about poverty.
John Edwards is dealing with the issues that are important to him.

8. It was about the primary, Democratic Unity and Half in Ten
Edited on Sun May-11-08 02:27 PM by ultraist
So, yes, I agree, not everything is about Obama.

The interview was about the primary and economic issues. Edwards agreeably discussed at length and stated, he likely will endorse a candidate and that he will be out there campaigning for our Democratic nominee. The Presidential race is obviously important to him.

Further, Edwards did not just discuss poverty but ways in which grow the middle class, which he stated, was the way to achieve a sustainable economy as someone below seemed to think.

He also described the intiative he is launching, "Half in Ten" which aims to cut poverty in half in ten years---through raising the minimum wage, expanding access to child care, increasing the EITC, etc.

12. That is true. I was just responding to the silly accusation that he was
Praisinf "mCcain rather than Obama. I don't think that was the case and have no problem with Edwards or either of the two remianing candidates being respectful of Mccain. Not is it wrong for Edwards to "reach out" on the issues. Edwards made the point that the issues were more important than the candidate.

7. He's back to only speaking about "the working poor" The rest of us, again, are forgotten.
If that's what he does, I'm done with him, too.

Why can't we have someone who actually CARES about the rest of us????

9. Edwards also discussed strengthening the middle class
Edwards has always included strengthening and broadening the middle class as it is the only way to create a functioning economy. As he used to say in 2004, "America works best when it works for all of us."
