In response to the latest Clinton attack ad, the Obama campaign released this new 30-second TV spot, "Hometown." The Obama ad calls for honest answers to the challenges facing the country rather than more of the same negative attacks that even Senator Clinton's hometown paper characterizes as the "low road," and that "do nothing but harm." Airing in Indiana.

2. Not such a great ad
This could have been made by anybody for anybody. Nothing about what makes Obama appealing. I think these ads actually don't help him at all, and when he listens to conventional advice and spends his financial advantage on ads like this, those are the times he ends up getting less out of it than expected. He should let the people hear him speak from his heart.

4. Notice the words "trust", "honest", "same old washington politics"
It plays off of the serious reservations voters have about Clinton's trustworthiness. And that she's old guard.

So I don't think it could have been made by anybody for anybody. It's targeted towards her negatives. (trustworthiness and how long she's been a part of the Washington scene).

5. This fits the definition of a negative ad
It tells people what is wrong with Hillary. Not what is right with Obama.
