He really knows how to spell it out. He actually clarified the problem for me. I've been envisioning Iraq as a dark, ambiguous, and spreading cloud of violence, but his analogies help me to understand the the position we may be in right now w/Crocker and Petraeus testifying to Congress, and to us, through our representatives.
