(This is YouTube's title, not mine) On Edit: If anyone knows how to re-post this with a sexier, but less insulting title (whilst not breaking the YouTube rules)...have at it! I suspect this will drop like a rock without some tweaking and the film deserves a better fate.

Here's what the Republican right wing, including former Congressman "B-1 Bob" Dornan, Sen. Bob Smith(R, NB) and the POW/MIA community believes about John McCain:

As a senator, he strongly opposed the release of POW/MIA records by fighting "tooth & nail" against a POW/MIA bill which had passed the House 401 to 0...

The North Vietnamese made 32 propaganda films staring Lt. SG John McCain, which are all under seal, in which he denounced the US...

He collaborated with the North Vietnamese during captivity in exchange for special treatment...

He was not tortured, but sustained two broken arms when he ejected from his F-4 fighter jet...

Now, we would all do what we have to do to survive in enemy captivity and no one can spite him for that, but it appears that Mr. McCain is working very hard to make certain that his own records-- including 32 propaganda films-- are not released during the campaign.

Is any of this true? Who knows. Is it Fair Game?... Your call.

1. Here is the point:
He denounced America, under the force of torture. That shouldn't be used, EXCEPT that he has now come out as a supporter of torture. That means he thinks it is acceptable and useful to gain information. Which means it could be argued that his denouncing America is his true feeling.

I would have said it is off limits, but when one supports torture, NOTHING is off limits. They must be stopped.

2. Precisely! Does McCain believe that torture can be an
effective means to obtain truthful or useful information? If he doesn't believe that torture is a useful means of obtaining truthful or useful information, why did he vote against banning all use of torture? If he does believe it is a useful means of obtaining truthful information, was the information he provided under torture truthful or useful?

If he believe that torture is sometimes useful to obtain truthful or useful information, did he provide useful or truthful information under as a result of being tortured?

McCain's thought on torture, like his thought on many issues is inconsistent and overly emotional. It appears that McCain's ideas and opinions depend on the whim of the moment. And he appears to have serious issues about self-control, that is, about control of his temper and of the manner in which he expresses anger (to be euphemistic). We don't need another president who throws temper tantrums.

We have been bogged down in a Bush/Cheney temper tantrum in Iraq for five years now.
