Interesting display of the famous McCain temper. Also interesting in that he seems to be stating pretty definitively that John Kerry asked him about being his running mate. Prior to seeing this, I had thought that was only a rumor.

I guess maybe this means he won't be asking Hillary to be his running mate.

1. I think he was fine - in fact he was taking it lightly
He might be pissed that he still has to answer dumb questions from some idiots, heck I'd be short with them too, but I'd hardly call it "losing his temper".

Now let's talk about that alien implant in his left cheek.... that's more interesting. Does it have a name?

2. That may be unresolved issues with being tortured.
Maybe it's not a good idea to have a president who might have unresolved issues.

5. My thoughts exactly
I have a friend that was a Prison of War ~ he is so bright but he has a very sharp temper.

I once dated a guy that was in Viet Nam. He was different in many ways when he came home. Much less trusting, sad a lot ~

Not saying McCain is that way but he seems to also have physical issues and age is not on his side.

Not many 70 year olds can keep the pace in this modern age with a stress filled job. There are some and he may be one of them but there is just a look about him that is not welcoming.

I'm a Senior and there is no way I would wish to take on the job that I had 10 years ago. No way

But then he is a Superman Republican Hunk so he can do anything.

NOT!

8. I worked with a civilian POW - he was the longest serving state department
POW. He had been taken by the Viet Cong and was moved all the time. The guy was a sweet heart but he knew that he wasn't completely normal and he was just different because of the experience.

I think that it is rather remarkable of McCain that he is as normal as he is given the very high level of brutality that he went through.

Having said that there seems to be a lot of senior republicans that seem to have some relunctance to McCain that has nothing to do with political issues.

15. Yeah they had it all lined up with Frost and then he lost it on
Sherivo (sp) and then George Allen spoke one word and lost by 9,000 votes and the had to go to plan F

They really got a bunch of clowns running for president and you can just see the senior club of republican fixers just sitting around saying "god we had McCain in the grave and he came back - that's how bad Romney and these other guys are".

"God one lousy word, I never even heard of a Macaca before"

"One word and look at the shit we are in"

In 4 years they are going to have a stronger team ready.

4. It was a lead question with a canned response ...
and McCain didn't take the bait. Good for him. Of course, if that had been one of the dem candidates, (s)he would have walked right into the trap and been made a fool.

6. Why would it have hurt him to act civilized and answer it?
Especially if everyone knows about it already?
