AFT Says Clinton Primary Win In Michigan Will Help Her Get Nomination, delegates will be seated

http://www.laborradio.org/node/7704

By Doug Cunningham

Far from being meaningless as the corporate mainstream media is saying, Senator Hillary Clinton’s Democratic presidential primary win in Michigan could clinch the nomination for her when Michigan’s delegates are ultimately seated at the Democratic national convention. Mark Brewer, Chairman of Michigan’s state Democratic Party, says Michigan’s delegates will count despite the national party stripping Michigan of its delegates for violating party rules with an early primary.

: “It’s inconceivable to me that they will start the fall campaign by barring the Michigan delegation from the national convention. It’s politically suicidal to do that. So this will be worked out. I’m very confident that our delegation will be seated and will be full participants in the convention next summer.”

Michigan’s American Federation of Teachers President, Dave Hecker agrees that Michigan’s delegates will count for Clinton. His union believes Clinton is the best candidate. Hecker says Clinton's win in Michigan will help her win the nomination.

: “It absolutely will help. You need Michigan to win. You need the Midwest to win. And even given the circumstances, a win here by Senator Clinton shows the nation that she’s the candidate who can get that support from the Midwest, which again is essential. The AFT endorsed Senator Clinton basically because of her lifetime of achievement and experience and her vision for the future.”

2. That's DLC for you. I knew she'd end up with delegates out of it.
Had to say "FU" to the Democratic Party and keep her name on the ballot.

6. "Michigan’s American Federation of Teachers" .. teachers sure have a lot to say
And I suggest they get the HELL out of this election of they want the good will to continue.

MI and FL are out. They were warned and tried to force the issue. It's already been challenged in court.

Get over it.

All this screams that Hillary can't win a fair election. The DLC has to get into voter suppression and other sleazy politics. But, that's the Hillary we know and love.
