CRETE, Neb. — About 150 workers at an Americold Logistics plant in Nebraska will be getting raises as part of their first union contract.

The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 271 negotiated the deal for workers at the Crete plant. It includes an average raise of $1.44 per hour in the first year and 30 cents an hour in each of the following four years.

The contract also requires the Atlanta-based company to pay overtime for holiday work and a premium for night shifts.

And workers will have access to health insurance and paid vacation.
