FORT WAYNE, Ind. - More than 200 former workers at Fort Wayne Foundry Corp. are among nearly 2,000 in four states who can apply for extra income, retraining and other benefits known as Trade Adjustment Assistance.

The U.S. Department of Labor announced this week that nearly 2,000 displaced workers in auto-related jobs in Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi and South Carolina are eligible for the help.

The state is expected to contact the eligible workers with word on how to apply for benefits and services that include new job training and some income during training.
